The 1460's for toddlers/juniors are made with real leather as well, right? They too have to break in their Docs as well? I can't imagine them tolerating that .

@Anonymous

It varies, some are and some aren’t.

I really don’t think they’re have too. I’m sure they make them a bit bigger and the ones for infants are super soft.

This isn't really a question but a tip. Just got my patent leather purple docs and on my left foot (the right was just fine) the usual where the tongue meets the toe box was super tight. So tight, in fact, I couldn't put my foot in there for longer than 5 minutes before my toes went numb. So I used some wonder balsam and put it on the inside right on that seam. I then took a Campbell's soup can and pushed it under there. Warm spot, 24 hours. I can now continue the breaking in process. Yeah!!

@Anonymous

We have a really similar tip with paper, but that sounds like it may work better. I’ll have to try it before suggesting it through, but it doesn’t seem like it would hurt anything. :D

Thanks for the tip love!

so i'm interested in buying my second pair of docs and was wondering what you recommend? i already own black 1460s and i'm having trouble deciding between the cherry red or dark green ones.. my style is mostly dark colors though i live in the desert

@Anonymous

If your style is mostly dark colors than you can’t go wrong either way. It just depends on what you’d like to stand out more. The cherry red would have a greater contrast than the green. But if that’s what you’re going for then that’d be ideal. If you want something to be more of a complementary piece the the green.

is the product to help stretch the leather the WONDER BALSAM? i'm thinking of ordering from the site..

@Anonymous

It isn’t to help stretch, it’s to condition. Although it’s ability to help you break in your shoes is a bonus.
